Akvorado is an open-source collector, enricher and visualiser for network traffic. It receives NetFlow, IPFIX and sFlow records, adds interface names from SNMP and geographic information, stores the enriched data in ClickHouse and provides a web interface to browse it. The application runs as self-hosted software on the operator's own infrastructure.
The project is developed by Free, the French internet operator, and is published under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3. Free is a subsidiary of Iliad SA, a French telecommunications group headquartered in Paris, so no foreign parent company applies. Because the software runs on the organisation's own servers, data location is determined by the organisation. For a European organisation, the AGPL licence allows the code to be inspected and modified.
