Duda is a platform for building, hosting and managing websites, aimed at web agencies, hosting companies and SaaS providers that deliver sites to their clients. It combines a visual editor with a chat-based tool for generating sites, SEO features, forms, bookings and e-commerce. It also offers white labelling, client management, team collaboration and an app store. It is delivered as SaaS and, according to the vendor, runs on AWS.
Duda, Inc. is based in the United States; the address in its privacy policy is in Colorado. The company is therefore subject to US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act. Its sub-processor list names AWS hosting in the United States and Germany, and the vendor says EU-based hosting is available. Duda provides a data processing agreement that references the GDPR, uses standard contractual clauses for transfers and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The privacy policy states that data may also be processed in countries such as the US, Israel and the United Kingdom. European organisations should confirm the required hosting location in writing before they commit.
