Epona365 DMS is document and email management software for law firms and legal departments, built on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint. Documents and emails are organised by matter or project and are accessible from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams; a mobile app gives access to matter documents. According to the vendor, all data stays within the customer's own Microsoft 365 tenant, so no separate content repository is needed, and Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Purview can be used.
According to its own announcement, Epona has its headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and was formed from the Danish JustiSolutions and the Dutch Epona BV, with offices also in Denmark, Portugal and the United States. The investor Main Capital Partners holds a majority stake. Where data resides depends on the region of the customer's own Microsoft 365 tenant; the vendor names no fixed hosting location. For a European organisation this means data sovereignty is largely set by the tenant configuration and by Microsoft, a US company whose jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act, applies to that tenant, rather than by Epona itself.
