HPE GreenLake is the hybrid cloud platform of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. It offers infrastructure and services on a consumption basis, including private cloud, storage and virtual machines, which HPE describes as running in customers' own data centres, in colocation facilities, at the edge and in public clouds. Management takes place through a central platform. HPE also offers a GreenLake environment disconnected from the internet for sovereign and isolated scenarios, operated by staff with national-security certifications.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is a publicly listed US company headquartered in Spring, Texas, and is subject to US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act. In 2020 HPE announced a European-hosted GreenLake delivered from Interxion data centres. Where your data resides depends on the chosen deployment: your own site, colocation or services hosted by HPE. When evaluating an offer, check who operates the hardware, where the management platform runs and which staff have access, because the dependency on a US supplier remains in each case.
