MailStore Server is an email archiving solution for small and medium-sized businesses. The software copies emails into a central archive so that they remain available and searchable for many years. Sources include Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, Google Workspace, IMAP and POP3 servers, and PST or EML files; archiving through journaling is also possible. Users search with full-text search and restore messages through an Outlook add-in or a web interface. The product offers retention policies, legal hold, audit logging and AES-256 encryption of the archive. The software is downloaded and installed on a Windows system of your own.

MailStore Software GmbH is based in Viersen, Germany, and is a subsidiary of OpenText, which is headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The parent company is therefore located outside the EU. Because MailStore Server runs on your own infrastructure, the archive stays at the location you choose, for example in the EU.
