Nintex is a process automation platform that brings together workflow, forms, apps, document automation, eSign and robotic process automation, with AI agents that help build and refine workflows. Organisations use it to model and automate approval and document processes and to connect cloud and on-premises systems such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce and SAP. It is offered as a multi-tenant cloud service (Nintex Automation CE) and as a self-hosted product for on-premises deployment (Nintex Automation K2).
Nintex is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, in the United States. The US investment firm Thoma Bravo made a majority investment in 2018. As a US company, Nintex is subject to US law, including the CLOUD Act. According to the company, its cloud platform has been available to EU customers through a Microsoft Azure data centre in Ireland since 2019, and the self-hosted K2 option lets an organisation keep workflows on its own infrastructure. The software is proprietary. European organisations should confirm which hosting region applies to their tenant.
