Odown is an uptime monitoring and status page service. It checks websites and APIs from multiple locations worldwide, including HTTP checks with configurable methods, parameters and expected responses, and it monitors SSL certificates. It also provides public, customisable and branded status pages, incident management, and shared team accounts with access control. Alerts can be sent to channels such as Slack, Discord, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, email, SMS, Telegram and webhooks. Odown is delivered as SaaS.
According to its privacy policy, the controller is Moore Ventures Ltd, whose contact address is in Helsinki, Finland. The policy does not name a fixed hosting region: data may be stored or processed in the EU, the UK or other countries where Odown or its providers operate, with standard contractual clauses as the safeguard for transfers. Named providers include Supabase for hosting and database services, Stripe, Crisp, Twilio and Mailjet, without stated locations. Odown is not described as open source. European organisations that require guaranteed EU-only storage should confirm the processing locations with the vendor, since the policy does not commit to them.
