Partecipo is a web application for managing event bookings. Organisers set up events with multiple dates, define the number of places and tickets per person, limit how often a user can register and add questions to the reservation form. Events can be restricted to members of the organisation or opened to the public, and bookings can be exported to CSV. It is a Ruby on Rails application with a PostgreSQL database, distributed as source code with a Docker Compose set-up, with OIDC single sign-on and automatic deletion of expired data.
Partecipo was developed by ISPRA, the Italian institute for environmental protection and research in Rome, initially to limit entrances during the COVID emergency, and has grown with contributions from other bodies such as the CNR. The software is published on GitHub under the MIT licence and is listed in the Developers Italia catalogue. The documentation describes self-installation only, so reservation data stays on your own infrastructure.
