PingPing is a hosted service for website uptime and SSL monitoring. It checks at regular intervals whether sites are reachable, monitors SSL certificate chains and warns before they expire, and provides public or private status pages in several languages, including on a custom domain. Notifications go out by email, SMS, Slack, Discord, Telegram and webhooks. Teams share monitors, and a REST API lets you manage monitors and retrieve statistics.
PingPing is operated by Newmatter B.V., based in The Hague, the Netherlands. According to the vendor, checks run from servers in seven locations, three of them in Europe (Germany and Finland) and four elsewhere (United States, Australia, Japan and Canada). The privacy policy does not name a hosting location for application data, but it lists processors such as ConvertKit and Cloudflare in the United States, Paddle for payments and jsDelivr in Poland. PingPing is not open source. Before adopting it, ask for a data processing agreement and the hosting location.
