Plausible Analytics is a lightweight, privacy-friendly alternative to Google Analytics. A single dashboard shows the key statistics, with automatic scroll-depth tracking, codeless goals, UTM campaign tracking, funnels, bot filtering and a Search Console integration. According to the provider, Plausible uses no cookies or persistent identifiers, so no cookie banner is needed. You use it as a managed cloud service or host the Community Edition yourself.
The legal entity, Plausible Insights OÜ, is incorporated in Estonia. The cloud service processes visitor data in the EU on infrastructure owned by European companies; the data policy does not name the hosting provider. The code is licensed under AGPLv3, and the JavaScript tracker is released under the MIT licence. The Community Edition is free, but installation, maintenance, security and backups are your responsibility, and some features of the cloud version are missing. Self-hosting is possible on any server in any country.
