Sifflet is a data observability and governance platform. It combines a data catalogue, quality monitoring and lineage down to field level. Alerts are enriched with lineage, downstream usage and ownership, which helps teams find the cause of a data issue faster. Sifflet connects to platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery and Redshift and offers AI agents for observability. According to its documentation, the platform can be used as SaaS, as a hybrid model with a small agent in your network or a Snowflake native app, or self-hosted on Kubernetes on AWS, GCP, Azure or on-premises.
Sifflet is a French company; EQT Ventures has been an investor since 2023. According to the documentation, customers choose the region in which their instance is created, for example the US, Europe or Asia. Sifflet stores metadata, schemas and monitoring results, but not the contents of table rows or failing rows. A self-hosted installation exchanges no data with Sifflet. Sifflet states that it complies with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2.
