Super Productivity: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

Super Productivity is a free, open-source task manager for focused work. It combines task management, time tracking and focus tools: tasks with subtasks, notes, tags, projects and repeating schedules, shown as a list, Kanban board or Eisenhower matrix. It also offers a Pomodoro timer, timesheets and reports, calendar import and integrations with GitHub, GitLab, Jira and Linear. The app runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS and in the browser, works offline and requires no account.

The source code is on GitHub under the MIT licence. Tasks stay on your own device by default. Syncing is optional through SuperSync, a service from the developer that is end-to-end encrypted and can also be self-hosted, through WebDAV, or through Dropbox. The sources consulted do not say where the developer is based or where SuperSync is hosted. Because the software runs locally and you choose where data is synchronised, European organisations can decide for themselves where their data is stored.
