SuperOffice: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

SuperOffice is a CRM solution for sales, marketing and customer service, with ERP integrations, mobile apps and AI features such as SuperOffice Copilot. The software is offered as a cloud service (SuperOffice Online), where SuperOffice itself handles hosting, backups, upgrades and security, and also on-premises. It is intended for companies that want to manage customer relationships, sales opportunities and customer communication in a single system.

SuperOffice AS is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and therefore in the EEA. Since April 2020 it has been owned by the Danish investment firm Axcel; in June 2025 the holding was moved into a continuation fund led by Carlyle AlpInvest, and the ultimate owner is Danish. SuperOffice's documentation does not name a data centre location for SuperOffice Online. Organisations that need data sovereignty should therefore fix the hosting location and sub-processors in the contract. The product is not open source.

Why digital sovereignty matters with SuperOffice

SuperOffice is headquartered in NO, which falls under the GDPR through the European Economic Area. No foreign legislation can compel access to your data. The ultimate owner is based in DK, also within Europe.

Data is hosted exclusively in the EU, so SuperOffice scores best on data residency.

SuperOffice is closed source and hosted by the vendor. The encryption keys and the runtime sit with the vendor and switching requires data migration. Ask about bring-your-own-key, export options and open standards.

What this means for your organisation depends on your whole stack and context. The free assessment weighs SuperOffice together with your other vendors and gives a total score, a heatmap and the main risk drivers.
