Spotfire (formerly TIBCO Spotfire) is an analytics platform that the vendor describes as a decision layer for industrial complexity. Users explore time-series, event, spatial and historical data visually, with industry-specific workflows for areas such as high-tech manufacturing and upstream energy. The platform offers machine learning, statistical modelling and AI-assisted analysis, with explainable AI and shared analyses for teams. It is offered as Spotfire Cloud (SaaS) and, according to independent comparison sites, also on-premises and as a hybrid deployment.
Spotfire is a business unit of Cloud Software Group, a privately held US company (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) formed through the merger of Citrix and TIBCO; the Spotfire site carries the copyright of Cloud Software Group, LLC. According to the Spotfire Cloud privacy data sheet (March 2025), customers can choose between a regional instance in the EU (Ireland) or the US (Oregon), hosted by AWS. For transfers from the EU and the UK, the vendor relies on standard contractual clauses. Because the parent company is American, this is a CLOUD Act signal even with hosting in Ireland.
