VictoriaMetrics is a time series database and monitoring solution. The core stores metrics and queries them with PromQL and MetricsQL; there are also VictoriaLogs for logs and VictoriaTraces for distributed traces. Teams use it as storage for Prometheus data and for observability. It can run as a single binary or as a cluster, via Docker or Kubernetes, and is also offered as a managed service, VictoriaMetrics Cloud. An Enterprise edition adds support and extra features such as anomaly detection.
The company was founded in Kyiv, Ukraine, and is now run worldwide from the United States. The open-source code is on GitHub under Apache-2.0, so you can run it entirely on your own infrastructure in the EU. VictoriaMetrics Cloud runs on AWS in regions in Europe, the United States and Asia-Pacific, so a European region can be chosen. Because the vendor is a US company, US jurisdiction may be relevant for the managed service; self-hosting avoids that.
