Wat.erp is a customer management suite for water utilities, sanitation operators and energy distributors. It handles prospect and customer relations, meter reading (including radio and remote reading), billing, collection, reminders and disputes, customer sub-ledger accounting with interfaces to Sage and Civil, technical management (quotes, works, interventions, meter fleet, non-collective sanitation inspections) and mobile apps for readings and interventions. An online customer portal and integrated reporting complete the suite. According to the vendor, it meets Sarbanes-Oxley and GDPR requirements.
The vendor is Somei, a French public limited company in Marseille, which now operates under the name Veolia | Software Solutions; its own site describes it as a company of the Eaux de Marseille group. According to the vendor, all servers are in France, in sovereign data centres, and only in-house staff in France work on them. The service therefore falls under European law. Wat.erp is commercial software, not open source. Ask which delivery form (cloud or own installation) applies to you, and for the data processing agreement.
