Helpshift is a player-support platform for games. It combines support SDKs for mobile, PC and web, AI agents for automated resolution, smart routing, proactive engagement, toxicity monitoring and community insights, supplemented by human services such as moderation. It is delivered as SaaS and integrates into the game itself.
Helpshift, Inc. is a US company with an address in San Francisco and is part of Keywords Studios, which is based in Dublin and acquired Helpshift in 2022. Since 2024 Keywords has been owned by a consortium led by EQT. According to the sub-processor list, production data sits with AWS in the United States; no EU region is mentioned. The data processing agreement contains GDPR provisions and EU standard contractual clauses under Irish law. For a European organisation this means player data is processed in the US, under US jurisdiction of the provider, with contractual safeguards for transfers.
