nupian Ferienprogramm is web-based software from nupian GmbH that lets municipalities, towns and youth councils plan, organise and publish their holiday programme. Providers enter activities, the administrator allocates places under rules for age and capacity, and parents register and pay for their children online. It also offers newsletter and mailing functions, printing of participation confirmations, Excel export and generation of a programme booklet. Priority for children from the local municipality can be configured. The same vendor also offers software for childcare centres and for managing sports halls.
nupian GmbH is based in Augsburg, Germany; no parent company is named. According to the vendor, the software is GDPR-compliant and runs on servers in Germany; it says it uses only servers in Germany, even though EU servers would be legally possible. For European municipalities this means data on children and parents stays under European law. A self-installed variant is not mentioned. Before going live, ask for the data processing agreement and which hosting provider is used.
