Paramount+ is a subscription streaming service with movies, series, live sports and live TV. Its catalogue draws mainly on CBS, Showtime, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, BET and Paramount Pictures, supplemented by original productions. There is an ad-supported plan and a premium plan that includes Showtime content, with downloads for offline viewing on premium. Paramount+ runs on phones, tablets, Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, smart TVs and game consoles and is delivered as SaaS.
Paramount+ is owned by Skydance Corporation (Paramount Skydance) following the merger of Skydance and Paramount Global in August 2025, and is based in New York City. In Europe the service launched in 2022 in the United Kingdom and Ireland, France and the German-speaking countries. In other countries SkyShowtime took its place or the service is distributed through partners. It is proprietary software with no self-hosting option. As a service of a US parent, Paramount+ is subject to US law, including the CLOUD Act.
