Passbolt is an open-source password and secrets manager for teams, aimed at IT, DevOps and security teams but also meant for organisation-wide use. Users share passwords and folders with people or groups and fill them in through browser, desktop or mobile apps. An API, command-line tool and SDKs also let CI/CD pipelines retrieve secrets. Further features include single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, automatic user provisioning and activity monitoring. Passwords are end-to-end encrypted with OpenPGP, using keys generated on the user's device.
Passbolt is developed by Passbolt SA in Luxembourg, and the Community Edition is licensed under the AGPL-3.0. You can self-host Passbolt, including behind a firewall or in an air-gapped environment, using Docker, Helm or Linux packages. Passbolt Cloud runs in Europe: the Business plan on Google Cloud Platform in Belgium and Germany (with Google acting as a sub-processor), and the Sovereign and Enterprise plans in a dedicated data centre in Luxembourg.
