Ralph is an open-source configuration management database and asset management system for hardware in data centres and back offices. It focuses on data-centre infrastructure management (DCIM) and on the inventory of servers and other equipment. Allegro, the Polish e-commerce group, publishes the source code under the Apache-2.0 licence. Ralph is installed and run on the organisation's own infrastructure, so it is an alternative to commercial CMDB and DCIM products for teams that want to keep their inventory in-house.
Allegro is headquartered in Poznań, Poland. The project is published on a sources-only basis without guarantees, and the README points to a separate commercial support offer. Because Ralph runs on the organisation's own infrastructure, the data stays where the organisation operates its servers and no vendor cloud is involved. European users therefore keep the code and the data under their own control, but they carry the maintenance effort themselves.
