SonarQube is a code quality and security analysis platform from SonarSource. It scans branches and pull requests, reports bugs, security issues, duplications and maintainability problems across dozens of languages, and applies quality gates so teams can enforce shared standards. Commercial editions add advanced SAST with cross-file analysis, secrets detection, infrastructure-as-code scanning and software composition analysis with SBOM generation. SonarQube Server is the self-managed edition, which you deploy in your own infrastructure, including air-gapped environments; a free Community Build is also available.

SonarQube is developed by SonarSource Sàrl, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with offices in Annecy (France), Bochum (Germany) and Austin (Texas); Switzerland is not an EU member state. A 2022 funding announcement names Advent International, General Catalyst and Insight Partners among its investors. The Community Build is open source under the LGPL-3.0, with its source on GitHub; the commercial editions add further features. When you self-host, code and analysis results stay on infrastructure you operate. SonarSource also offers a separate SaaS service, SonarQube Cloud.
