Viewtinet is a network observability platform that combines log data with wire data. Viewtilog ingests logs and metrics such as Syslog, NetFlow, SNMP, WMI and API feeds, while the Viewtimon probe analyses IP traffic with deep packet inspection to recognise applications and calculate network KPIs. A multitenant portal lets managed service providers and NOC or SOC teams give each customer a live view of its own data. According to the vendor, the platform is available as a cloud or on-premises deployment, and a single instance can be installed on physical, private-cloud or public-cloud infrastructure.
The product is developed by Viewtinet, S.L., based on a business campus in Pozuelo de Alarcón near Madrid, Spain. The vendor does not publish a fixed hosting location: where the data sits depends on the infrastructure on which the platform is installed. If you choose an on-premises or European private-cloud installation, the collected network and log data stays under your own control and within European jurisdiction. Because logs can reveal internal systems and user behaviour, agree the deployment location in the contract.
