Xelon provides cloud infrastructure from Switzerland, aimed at IT service providers and in-house IT teams. The offering includes a public cloud with usage-based billing, a private cloud for regulated or sensitive workloads, virtual machines running Windows or Linux, a Kubernetes service and cloud backup with Veeam Cloud Connect and Acronis. With the management platform Xelon HQ, teams manage virtual machines, containers and networks, and IT service providers can run infrastructure for several customer environments. The service is delivered as IaaS.
Xelon AG is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland; the website names no parent company. According to the vendor, the infrastructure runs in Swiss data centres in Lupfig and Rümlang, which are connected redundantly by fibre and where data stays in Switzerland. The website lists a data processing agreement and a description of technical and organisational measures. Switzerland is not in the EU but is an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision. For European organisations this is an IaaS option outside the large US hyperscalers.
