Glofox originated in Dublin, Ireland, and is still described as Dublin-based. In 2022 it was acquired by the US company ABC Fitness Solutions and now operates as a business unit within ABC Fitness; the website carries the copyright of ABC Fitness Solutions, LLC. The ultimate parent is therefore in the United States, which is a CLOUD Act signal even though the Irish operation is European. The sources reviewed do not say where data is hosted. The software is not open source. A European organisation should check the hosting location and the terms for data transfers with the vendor.
