Google Password Manager is the password service built into Google Accounts, Chrome and Android. It saves passwords and passkeys, fills them in on websites and apps, and makes them available on signed-in devices. According to Google's privacy policy, the company operates data centres around the world, and user information may be processed on servers outside the user's country.
Google LLC is headquartered in the United States, and the privacy policy applies to all services of Google LLC and its affiliates. As a US provider, Google is subject to US legal access rules for data it holds, whatever the location of the servers. The policy does not name EU-only data centres for this service, so European organisations cannot rely on a guaranteed EU storage location. A password manager tied to a personal Google Account is not a managed business vault, which deserves consideration before it is used for shared credentials.
