Passwork is a password and secrets manager for businesses, used to store credentials, share them within teams and control access. It is offered as Passwork Self-Hosted, installed on the customer's own servers and described by the vendor as on-premise by default, and as Passwork Cloud, a SaaS service. The vendor describes role-based access, double encryption and a zero-knowledge architecture.
Passwork Europe S.L. is registered in Barcelona, Spain, and the vendor says it relocated its headquarters there from Finland. It describes the company as founder-owned and free from outside capital. In the self-hosted edition, passwords never leave infrastructure controlled by the customer, so the data location is in the organisation's hands. The cloud edition uses EU and US data centres according to the vendor's FAQ. The vendor states full GDPR and NIS2 compliance but does not describe the product as open source, so a European organisation should choose the self-hosted option or confirm the cloud data location in writing.
