TeamPass is an open-source, self-hosted password manager for teams. Access is organised through a folder tree with roles that carry preset rights, with overrides per user; the same rules apply in the web interface and in the API. TeamPass also offers AES-256-GCM encryption, LDAP/Active Directory and OAuth2 integration, TOTP two-factor authentication, secure sharing of a credential with an outside party under an expiry, rotation of Linux passwords over SSH, and importers for Bitwarden, LastPass and KeePassXC, among others.
The software is written in PHP, runs on MySQL or MariaDB and is released under the GPL-3.0 licence, and is also available as a Docker image. The project has been maintained since 2009 by Nils Laumaillé in France; no company stands behind it. Because you run TeamPass on your own infrastructure, you decide where the data is stored, and there is no foreign parent company. A European organisation does, however, carry the responsibility for administration, backups and updates itself.
