Geneos is a real-time monitoring and observability platform from ITRS for applications, servers, databases, middleware and cloud services. It offers alerting, dashboards, pre-built integrations and tools for custom applications, including support for legacy and mainframe systems. The vendor says it is used mainly by financial institutions. The product can be deployed in on-premises as well as cloud environments.
According to its website, ITRS Group is headquartered in London and was founded there in 1997. In 2021 it was announced that Montagu, a private equity investor, would acquire a majority stake from TA Associates, which remains a minority shareholder. The vendor's website names no foreign parent company. The United Kingdom is outside the EU, so UK law applies to ITRS. The website does not state where customer data is hosted, so a European organisation should choose the deployment model that meets its requirements; an on-premises deployment keeps monitoring data within its own infrastructure.
