JENTIS is a managed server-side tracking platform that combines tag management with server-side data capture, consent enforcement and the routing of first-party data. As a hybrid tag manager it runs client-side and server-side tags from one interface and offers native connectors to analytics and advertising tools such as GA4, Meta, TikTok and Google Ads. Events are routed through the customer's own first-party domain, set up with a snippet and a DNS record. Essential Mode captures pseudonymised data from visitors who have not given consent, and consent is enforced at data-point level. JENTIS operates the platform as a managed service.
JENTIS GmbH is based in Vienna, Austria. The vendor states that it hosts the platform on EU-based, auto-scaling infrastructure and that it is ISO 27001 certified; its public pages do not name countries, data centres or cloud providers. The software is proprietary and not open source. For a European organisation this is an Austrian vendor with an EU-hosted managed service. The exact hosting provider, region and subprocessors should still be confirmed in the data processing agreement.
