PagerDuty is an operations platform for incident response and on-call management. It detects problems, routes them to the right people and supports resolution with machine-learning-based noise reduction, event orchestration, automation, stakeholder notifications and post-incident analytics. Runbook Automation is available as a self-hosted option. The platform offers integrations with monitoring, ticketing, chat, cloud and security tools, an open API and mobile apps.
PagerDuty is a US company. Customers choose a service region when signing up, either US or EU, and an account exists in only one region. The EU service region runs in AWS data centres in Frankfurt and Ireland. Some data may be stored outside the chosen region, such as application logs, aggregated usage analytics, support data, billing details and data from installed integrations. For transfers outside the EU, PagerDuty relies on standard contractual clauses and is self-certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. As a US-headquartered provider, it is subject to US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act, even when data is held in the EU region.
