uniTicket is an open-source ticketing and helpdesk system, built on the Python framework Django, for tracking and digitising request and document workflows. It suits organisations with several departments: one installation serves multiple offices, tickets can be transferred or shared, and each ticket category gets its own form. It also offers task checklists per ticket, digitally signed attachments (PDF and P7M), chat and video calls and SAML2 single sign-on. The interface follows the Italian design guidelines for public-sector websites. It is delivered as server software, with a Docker image and a docker-compose setup.
uniTicket is developed and maintained by the Università della Calabria in Rende, Italy, and is released under the AGPL-3.0-or-later. No hosting service from the maker is documented: you run it yourself on your own servers or with a hosting provider of your choice, so the data stays under your control. The source code is public, which avoids dependence on a single supplier. The software is listed in the Italian Developers Italia catalogue, and according to the project metadata it is also used by other Italian public bodies.
