UVdesk is a helpdesk platform for customer support, including for e-commerce and marketplaces. It offers ticket management, workflows, a knowledge base, saved replies, spam filtering, an API and support for multiple mailboxes. Connectors exist for Shopify, Magento, OpenCart, PrestaShop and WordPress. UVdesk can be used as SaaS or as a self-installed open-source edition, which runs on PHP with the Symfony framework and a MySQL database.
UVdesk is an initiative of Webkul Software Pvt Ltd, a company that originated in Noida, India. The community edition is released under the Open Software License 3.0. A European organisation that installs the open-source edition itself decides the hosting location and jurisdiction of its ticket data. For the SaaS variant the vendor does not state hosting regions, so the location of customer data has to be asked separately. The company says it holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications and describes itself as GDPR-aligned. Because the vendor is outside the EU, data transfers and processing agreements need to be assessed if you use the hosted service.
