Yama Analytics provides web statistics derived solely from server logs. No JavaScript runs on the visitor's side and no cookies are used. The software receives access logs from web servers such as Caddy, Nginx or Apache, aggregates the data and exposes it through an API for custom dashboards. It runs as a sidecar container or standalone, supports multiple sites and, according to its documentation, is still in beta.
Yama Analytics is developed by SPIKE SAS (Yama) in France, as part of the Yama CMS ecosystem. The code is open source under the GNU AGPL-3.0 or later and is distributed as a Docker image. You install the software yourself, so the logs stay on your own infrastructure; aggregated data is stored as Parquet files in S3 storage of your choice. Since version 0.3.0, log rows can be stored without the IP address. Development was co-funded through NLnet's NGI Zero Commons Fund.
