IFS assyst is an IT service management (ITSM) and enterprise service management platform used to handle incidents, changes, requests and IT assets. The product comes from Axios Systems of Edinburgh, which IFS acquired in 2021. IFS said it would keep assyst available as a standalone application for the time being and integrate it into IFS Cloud over time, with the Axios name eventually giving way to IFS ESM. According to IFS, assyst can be deployed as a standalone application.
Axios Systems was headquartered in Edinburgh in the United Kingdom; the product now sits under IFS, which is headquartered in London and owned by investors including EQT and Hg. The United Kingdom is outside the EU. Where cloud-hosted assyst customer data is stored is not publicly stated. For IFS Cloud, IFS offers separate EURA services for data residency in the EU and EFTA; whether they apply to assyst is something to confirm with IFS. The product is proprietary.
